SPMU is a semi permanent tattoo for your brows or lips that mimics the look of makeup. (some artists specialise in other areas).  We use a digital machine with a needle to implant pigment into the skin. This is a completely safe method and the studio room is kept to the highest hygiene standard with correct PPE. The pigment does not go as deep into the skin as a normal tattoo so it will fade over time but pigment can stay in the skin for a number of years. 

Yes it is suitable for anyone over 18 and all skin types, however you will have certain methods which are better suited to you particularly with brows which can be discussed on the day of your appointment or during a consolation.

Please note you can not have SPMU if any of the below apply to you.

- Under 18 years old

- Pregnant or breast feeding

- Taking prescription medication (accutane)  

   you must have stopped taking this medication for 6 months before you can have SPMU.

- If you have HIV/Hepatitis B/C

- Undergoing chemo or radio therapy

- Cancer 

Brows can look scabby for up to 2 weeks and it takes 4 weeks for your skin to fully heal.

You have to follow aftercare for 2 weeks.

Lips can be flakey for 5/7 days and it takes 4 weeks for the lip tissue to fully heal.

You have to follow aftercare for 2 weeks.

SPMU can last for 3/4 years however a yearly top up is recommended to keep the colour fresh or to add warmth back in.

Pain is minimal, your are provided with lots of numbing cream throughout the procedure. 

All consultations are done on the day of  the appointment, however if you any concerns or questions you can come in for a free consultation or schedule a phone call.

Yes, all treatments do require a patch test. Must be done 48 hours before, you can either pick one up or I can send one in the post for £3. 

Firstly we will discuss any questions you have, what your skin type is like and what colours you want to have. Then we can start your pre draw this is all done with makeup so we can get the exact new desired shape of your brows/lips. You can be as fussy as you like with this part of the appointment we will not start any tattooing until we are both happy with your new shape. Once happy with the pre draw we will start the tattooing. At the end of the appointment we will discuss aftercare and will explain the healing process.

There are lots of things to consider for aftercare. The main aftercare advice is to not get your brows/lips wet for 2 weeks so please bare this in mind when you are booking. I would avoid going on holiday for 3 weeks after your appointments as you must also keep them out the sun for 2 weeks and we need to give them the best chance of healing. All other details will be given to you on the day of the appointment.

You must come back for a 6/8 week top up after your first session, this is a 2 part procedure so the top up is essential. Sometimes it can take three sessions to get the desired look that you want but most people are just two. Most clients come back after a year to have a refresh. 

Yes, most photos of SPMU that you see will be immediately after so they can look bold when first done, however during the healing process the brows/lips scab over and then can take 2 weeks for all the scabs to flake off. The colour will look lighter at this point and then the colour starts to resurface again 3/4 weeks after your appointment date. A top up is to then add more colour back in to achieve a darker result. So they will never be as dark and prominent as they look immediately after your treatment. It is a process but you must trust your SPMU expert. 

Yes we do but please send a photo of your brows first to elle before booking.

Brows can turn grey/pink over time due to a number of factors. Sun beds and lots of exposure to high UV rays can turn them pink/grey so please keep them covered up if you use sun beds and make sure you put SPF 50 on your brows in the summer. Brows can turn grey if pigment is implanted too deep into the skin, poor pigment choice or if bad quality pigment is used, so please ensure you are going to an experienced SPMU artist. 

Overtime brows will warm or cool down to your natural skin tone anyway so it is important to come back for your yearly top ups. Brows can be colour corrected if this has happened to you.

We accept cash, bank transfer and also have a card machine which accepts most payment methods.

There is no customer parking. The closest car parks Is the blue boar ( 1 min walk away) Billericay high street (4 min walk away) please check if you need to pay. we are a 5 min walk from Billericay station. 

Yes we are fully licensed under Basildon Council and we are fully qualified and insured for all treatments provided.

Unfortunately there is no seating area for you to bring someone with you but don't worry you are in safe hands!
